Daniel O’Donnell has asked fans to pray for his nephew, Frankie.
He issued the plea on social media explaining that his nephew is “very ill”.
He didn’t share any details about Frankie’s condition, just asked people to keep him in their prayers.
Writing on Facebook he said: “Please can I ask for prayers for my nephew Frankie who is very ill.
“He is my brother John’s eldest son. Many of you will remember Frankie from when we owned the Viking House Hotel. He worked in the bar.
“Please pray for him and his wife and children and John, Bridget and Joey. Prayer is powerful and only God knows the future. Thank you.”
Comments rolled in with messages promising to keep Frankie in their prays.
“May God bless him and protect him and give him a speedy recovery xx,” one person wrote.
“Thoughts and healing prayers for a speedy recovery for Daniel’s nephew also the family circle. God be with you all especially Frankie,” another said.
While a third commented: “Prays and thoughts for Frankie and all his family. Our Lady of Knock look after Frankie and may his guardian Angel protect him.”
