Dancing with the Stars is set to return to our TV screens next month.
We found out what Irish celebs would be competing as well as their professional partners.
Dancing with the Stars couple Montel Hewson and Jillian Bromwich won’t be returning to the dancefloor in the new year.
Last year Montel was paired up with TikTok star Miriam Mullins and Jillian dancing with Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Rory Cowan.

Both were eliminated at the beginning of the series.
The couple announced that they had made the joint decision not to return to the show.
Taking to Instagram, Montel said: “Hello everybody from Marbella, hope you’re doing well. We just wanted to let everyone know what our situation is. We got a lot of messages from people.
“We didn’t expect to have such a big impact on Dancing with the Stars. It was such a short lived moment, but we just wanted to come on and let people know our situation.”

Jillian continued: “As you all probably know by now, we are not doing Dancing with the Stars this year. We made the decision for ourselves to focus on our competitive dance career, but we had so much fun last year and made so many memories, so many friends and we will be forever grateful.
“We felt in this moment from time that this was the best decision for us.”
Montel went on to say: “We want to wish everybody on the cast in the upcoming season to have the best time of their lives. We know for sure we did.”
While Jillian signed off: “Sending all of our love and thanks so much for the support”.

There has been a few shake-ups in the professional line-up, as Karen Byrne swaps competing for judging, she joins the judging panel in the new year. While Kylee Vincent is on maternity leave after welcoming a baby in October.
New pros Maciej Zieba, Rebecca Scott, Daniela Roze and Alex Vladimirov replace them.
Dancing with the Stars returns to RTÉ One and RTÉ Player on Sunday 5th January, 6.30pm.
