Actress Jane Danson, or Leanne Battersby from Coronation Street as she’s better known, is not happy with the RTE Guide today.
The magazine took to Twitter to promote their new issue, saying “We chat to Eastenders star Jane Danson as she tells us what’s in store when Leanne Battersby announces her pregnancy.”
This was an unfortunate mistake to make considering the soaps are rival shows – but to make matters worse, they directed the tweet to Jane, a series regular, who has been on Corrie for over two decades.
The tv star was understandably not happy with the blunder, and decided to send them a reply. She said, “@RTEGuide @bbceastenders Erm I think you mean Coronation Street!!! I mean I have only been there for 20 years,” followed by a laughing emoji.
The RTE Guide responded, blaming the mistake on “baby brain,” but Jane wasn’t quite ready to let it go. She quoted the magazine’s tweet and said, “They had one job!”
Yikes!
