If you’ve ever been on a night out in Dublin, it is fairly plausible that you ended up in Coppers at 3am.
It might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to inspiration for a musical but Coppers is known for fun, flings and maybe even some tears, which makes it the perfect recipe for a stage play.
Written by Paul Howard, who wrote the Ross O’Carroll Kelly series, the show is coming to the Olympia Theatre in Dublin.
Coppers: The Musical follows the story of a Kerry girl who falls in love with a Dublin lad on the night before their counties play oneanother at the All Ireland Final.
Described as “It’s Moulin Rouge… with slow sets,” the show is sure to be hilarious, heartwarming and very entertaining.
The show will hit the Olympia Theatre from July 5th! Tickets will go on sale for €28 this Friday from Ticketmaster.
