Conor McGregor’s girlfriend Dee Devlin has posted an online tribute about her pride for the UFC star following his defeat against Nate Diaz.
The Dubliner lost for his first time in his sporting career in the early hours of Sunday morning, and he has since declared that the will come back from the setback “stronger than ever”.
His supportive long-term girlfriend Dee, who he has been with for over eight years, made sure to let the world know that, win or lose, she is standing by her man.
“So unbelievably proud of you every single day babe, you are my hero,” she wrote, alongside a picture of her beau.
Her Instagram message comes after Conor posted on his profile about the reaction to his shocking defeat. “I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed,” he wrote.
“I will never apologize for taking a shot. Shit happens. I’ll take this loss like a man. I will not shy away from it.”
He continued: “Thank you to the true support and f**k the hate that came out of the woodwork. I love it all. Its still steak for breakfast. I’ve been here many times in my life in some form or another. I’ll eat it all and come back stronger.
“To the fans! Never ever shy away from challenges. Never run from adversity. Face yourself head on. Nate I will see you again.”
