The happy couple were joined by their friends and family for a beautiful celebration at Highclere Park where Downton Abbey was filmed, which also so happens to be her husbands ancestral home! So cool!
Laura Whitmore shared a sweet snap of herself and hubby Iain Sterling as they headed off to the celebrations as well as some gorgeous pictures of the bride and groom, with the caption, “Clo and Harry got hitched! We love you @clodagh_mckenna @harry_m_herbert ❤️ Food, drinking and dancing with so many friends!”.
Imelda May also joined in on the celebrations, posting a sweet message to the bride and groom on Instagram saying, “Congratulations to my dearest Clodagh and Harry!!! I’m so glad I could share your truly magical day with you. It was so special. Thank you for having me be a part of it. I love you both!!!! I wish you infinite happiness ❤️”.
Imelda quickly jetted off by helicopter to a festival in Audley End House, Saffron Walden, where she was supporting Van Morrison. What a busy day!
Explaining on Instagram Imelda said, “Yesterday was a magical day. I sang at my dearest friends @clodagh_mckenna and @harry_m_herbert wedding AND my first gig back, supporting @vanmorrisonofficial !!! I wouldn’t have missed either for the world so my pal @carolvorders helped me sort a helicopter so I could sing at the church then slip away to dash to perform with my band at @efestival then fly back to celebrate with Clodagh and Harry and friends. I will treasure that special day forever ❤️”.
Clodagh announced her engagement at the beginning of October 2020, after her partner Harry Herbert popped the question.
The pair were enjoying a romantic candle-lit meal, when he asked her to marry him – and Clodagh didn’t hesitate in saying yes.
Now one year later they got to celebrate their wedding.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Today Show last year she said her main concern was that her family could be there, “The most important thing for us is that my family from Ireland can travel here and Harry’s got family abroad as well, so we want everyone with us…
“That is the most important thing. Even if it’s just a table in the middle of the field and we’re all together – that’s what is important.”
We are glad everyone could go!
