
The acting talent clearly runs in the family as Aran Murphy, son of Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, has landed a role in a major new television series.
The young actor has been cast in the upcoming HBO and Merman Television series YOUTH, where he will appear alongside an impressive lineup of stars including Sharon Horgan, Rupert Friend, Sharlene Whyte and Robbie Gee.
The exciting news was announced by Lisa Richards Agency, Aran’s talent agency, who shared the casting update on Instagram.
“We are pleased to announce that Aran Murphy has joined the cast of the upcoming HBO/Merman series YOUTH,” they wrote, confirming the young star’s latest role.

The series will follow a 50-year-old divorcee navigating life, love and family as she searches for sex and romance while caring for her ageing parents and parenting her not-quite-grown-up son.
The project is written and executive-produced by Bad Sisters creator Sharon Horgan.
So no doubt we can expect big things!

WAR follows two of London’s most prestigious rival law firms, Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne, as they go head-to-head in the divorce case of the century.
However, that’s not all the budding actor has lined up as he’s also set to make his big-screen debut in the upcoming adaptation of Klara and the Sun, directed by Taika Waititi.
In that highly anticipated film, he will star alongside Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams ahead of its expected 2026 release.
