Peaky Blinders has finally made its comeback since the series finale in 2022.
The Immortal Man film was released in select cinemas on March 6th and will have a global release on March 20th on Netflix.
Cillian Murphy has returned to play Birmingham gangster, Tommy Shelby, 13 years after he first took part the hit BBC TV series.
Praising loyal fans of the show, Cillian told BBC One Breakfast: “There wasn’t promotion at the beginning. The show came out, and then very slowly it became this phenomenon, and it was down to the fans.”

Since the show ended, Cillian has rightfully received an Oscar, a BAFTA, and a Golden Globe for his incredible role in Oppenheimer. With The Immortal Man’s release, Cillian has issued a warning for the audience: ‘’Spoilers are terrible, keep it to yourself. By order of the Peaky Blinders.’’
With some of the previous cast of the show also returning, alongside Cillian, the film is providing us with even more Irish talent, including Barry Keoghan as Tommy Shelby’s illegitimate son, Duke Shelby.
Since news of the film’s release, fans were unsure who would be playing Duke Shelby, but quickly approved the release of Keoghan taking over the role. One viewer wrote ‘’no offense to Conrad Khan, who portrayed Duke in the show’s final season, but Keoghan is one of the best actors of his generation, and he’s in top form here.’’
Keoghan shared how he had gotten the role after texting Cillian Murphy on the Pat Kenny Show: “I texted Cillian on Father’s Day to wish him a happy Father’s Day.

“He got back to me and asked me if I wanted to play his son in the Peaky Blinders movie. It was a no brainer. He’s Cillian Murphy, I’d work with Cillian Murphy on anything.’’
The release of the film has been highly anticipated, and with an opening weekend score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, the feedback has been highly positive.
Fans have taken to social media to share their opinions on the film, and let’s hope Cillian’s warning is listened to.
Fans will also be glad to hear the film is not the ending to the Peaky Blinders universe, with the show set to return to TV, following the new generation of the Shelby family.
