Peaky Blinders fans contain your excitement!
Cillian Murphy has been spotted in his peaked cap walking the streets of Liverpool.
It has been confirmed that the film of the beloved TV series began production this week!
How exciting!
Cillian will be joined by Barry Keoghan this time around. Barry seemed to tease his role in the film over the weekend as he shared a photodump on Instagram showcasing his new hairstyle which many pointed out was cut to resemble the style that was made popular in the series.
He also had a screenshot from his audio files which read “accent work”, that say fans conclude he was practicing his Brummie accent for the film.
The creator of the series and writer of the film, Steven Knight said : “I’m thrilled to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II. The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders.”
While director Tom Harper commented: “There’s a great feeling of anticipation and excitement amongst our outstanding cast and crew. We’re grateful to the fans for getting us to this point and believe this next chapter is going to deliver something extraordinary.”
Also joining the cast are Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, Mission Impossible) and Academy Award nominee Tim Roth.
The plot and further casting are remaining tightly under wraps but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
