Star of Peaky Blinders Cillian Murphy has left fans disappointed as he’s revealed that they’ll be waiting a while for the next series of the BBC drama.
Cork native Cillian told the Birmingham Mail that the cast don’t begin shooting for the fourth season of the show until March 2017, meaning that audiences will have a long wait before seeing Tommy Shelby return to their screens.
“We start shooting the next series next March, I think,” he said.
Season three of the Peaky Blinders, which is now available to watch on Netflix, took four months to film. Therefore, it’s likely that viewers will be watching re-runs until roughly next autumn!
Cillian also told the newspaper why he feels the show is so successful, and to him it’s all down to the writing.
“The success of it is down to really great writing. People in America love it, people in Australia love it, people in Poland love it – it’s mad,” he said.
