The Peaky Blinders actor will be working on a brand new movie in Wicklow very soon and we couldn’t be more excited.
We’re sure that he’s delighted that he won’t have to travel too far for work after he and his family relocated to his native Ireland in 2015.
New Ross will be the location for his upcoming flick, Small Things Like These.
Production is set to start in March! So if you’re around the area you might be seeing a lot of Cillian!
The film is based on a book of the same name written by Claire Keegan.
The novel is set during the weeks leading up to Christmas 1985 in New Ross, where we met our main character, Bill Furlong, a coal merchant and family man who is preparing for his busiest season.
While delivering an order to the local convent one morning, Bill makes a discovery which forces him to confront both his past as well as a society that is controlled by the church.
According to The Sunday World, Cillian Murphy, the location crew and the producers visited the Wicklow in October, identifying potential shoot locations.
Before we get our hopes up too much, Cillian is not set to appear in the film. However, he will be working closely behind the scenes on the project. So we’re sure he’ll be hanging around the set!
We’ll just have to wait and see who is starring in the upcoming film!
