Ciara Doherty is starting a family with her husband Richard Stern.
The TV3 host who got married in August of last year is pregnant with her first child, according to Evoke.
The Ireland AM host is yet to comment publicly on her exciting news.
Back in 2017 the star spoke about her love of children and her plans to have her own.
“I do enjoy spending time with kids and handing them back but I’d say children are probably on the cards in the not too distant future, particularly as I’m getting married and turning 35.
“You’re definitely more conscious of your age at 35. I try not to think about it too much because if I do I get a little stressed.”
“It’s a bit unfair; everybody says after 35, it gets a bit more difficult to have a baby.”
“It does creep up on you way too quickly; I may have enjoyed my twenties a bit too much and into my thirties.”
Sheh added: “So I’ve had to say, enough’s enough, ‘fish or cut bait,’ isn’t that what they say, but everyone tells me motherhood is worth it.
“Somebody has told me how efficient you become with your time when you become a mother and I’ll be a new person, no procrastination,” she said.
It’s been a busy year for the star, who was officially named as co-host of the morning show back in April after replacing Sinead Desmond for several months.
Speaking about the permanent role, she said: “I’m on the program two and a half years, but I’ve been anchoring for six months.”
She added: “The ratings were really good, the feedback was good, I knew there was a positive atmosphere on set and a great rapport between me and Mark, Aidan and Alan, so I was hoping the powers that be would see that and make the right decision which was obviously keeping me in the role, so I’m completely and utterly thrilled,”
“I really wanted this. It’s a great feeling.”
Congrats to the star!
