Chris O’Dowd is set to be honoured with an Oscar Wild Award next month.
The Bridesmaids and Moon Boy star will be honoured by the US-Ireland Alliance at the Awards, which will be held at J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot in Santa Monica on 21 February 2019.
He joins fellow honorees Glenn Close and Aidan Gillen.

Abrams will emcee, Melissa McCarthy will present, and Irish band VINCI will perform.
“Chris’ well-deserved reputation as a great comedic actor belies his versatility, evident across a range of roles in television, theatre and film, including a Tony Award nomination.” Trina Vargo, founder and president of the US-Ireland Alliance said.
Last year Catherine O’Hara, Mark Hamill, Paula Malcomson and Barry Keoghan were honoured at the award ceremony.
