Do our eyes deceive us or is that Chris O’Dowd we see in the new trailer for Black Mirror?
Yes, the Emmy award-winning show is back for season seven and is set to air next month with Irish actor Chris O’Dowd slated to appear in one of the episodes.
In March, it was officially announced that Charlie Brooker’s hit TV series Black Mirror would return for another season, featuring six episodes—including a sequel to the season four sci-fi adventure USS Callister.
This new season will explore the impact of “mind-expanding” technology, with glimpses of characters using devices that alter their neural structure, engaging in intense virtual reality games, and interacting with artificial intelligence (AI).
While many cast members have already been announced, such as Paul Giamatti, Awkafina, Rashida Jones, and Cristin Milioti, new cast members have additionally been added to the star-studded list, including Will Poulter, Michele Austin, Asim Chaudhry, and of course our very own Chris.
Poulter previously starred in the interactive Black Mirror movie Bandersnatch, playing a famous game creator named Colin Ritman.
And based on the trailer, it seems as though he may be reprising the role.
Speaking about the upcoming series of the dystopian show at a Netflix event in September last year, creator Charlie Brooker said: “You can expect a mix of genres and styles.
“We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length.
“Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”
The seventh season will premiere on Netflix on April 10.
Safe to say, we will be watching!
