Charlie Bird might just be Bruce Springsteen’s biggest fan.
He was overjoyed to be able to nab tickets to his Irish concert back in May which saw him meet the iconic singer.
Now he has something to immortalise that evening forever.
He explained that after struggling with his MND over the last few days, he received a lovely parcel in the post.
I’ve had a couple of hard days with my MND. This morning I opened a letter sent to me by a pal. And it blew me away. It was the official CD of Bruce Springsteen’s concerts at the RDS. And I could not believe it. It included Bruce’s shout out “for my friend Charlie Bird” Wow. pic.twitter.com/NFOjO01MmX

“I’ve had a couple of hard days with my MND. This morning I opened a letter sent to me by a pal. And it blew me away,“ he explained.
“It was the official CD of Bruce Springsteen’s concerts at the RDS. And I could not believe it. It included Bruce’s shout out ‘for my friend Charlie Bird’ Wow.“
What an incredible gift.
During the concert, Bruce gave Charlie a gorgeous shout-out.
“This one is for my friend Charlie Bird,“ he said before singing Land of Hope and Dreams as the audience cheered on.
He shared a picture of the CD balancing on a piece of wood in his home alongside a picture of his beloved dog, Tiger.
His good news comes after he shared that his MND diagnosis is getting worse.
In recent months, he shared that he is unable to get himself dressed without assistance.
“My MND has taken a turn for the worst. I can no longer dress myself without help from Claire,” he wrote on Twitter.
“But I am still mobile and I have a number of projects to help Samaritans.
“As long as I have a breath in my body I am going to continue to extend the hand of friendship to help people.”
