A charity album has been released in honour of legendary broadcaster, Terry Wogan.
The album, Terry Wogan: A Celebration of Music by Various Artist, is set to raise vital funds for Children in Need.
The Irish star was an avid campaigner for the charity, as he hosted the BBC Children In Need Rocks concert every year from 1980, and donated huge funds to them throughout the duration of his career.
Half of the profits raised from the album will go towards the charity, as a touching homage to Terry, who passed away almost a year ago.
The producer of Weekend Wogan, Ste Softley, told the Irish Mirror, “For each song I can picture Terry’s face lighting up with enthusiasm, or hear his mischievous ad-libs all over it, or see him simply sit back in his chair, lose himself in the music and love the moment.
“It’s easy to hear Terry’s voice in between – and on top of – every single one of these songs, hand-picked songs which were very special to my friend, our friend, Terry.”
