Author Cecelia Ahern has showed her followers just how much her books mean to her, by referring to her latest literary offering as her baby.
The writer, best known for her novel-turned-movie PS. I Love You, joked to her Instagram followers that her “new arrival” had been delivered safely and she was a very proud mother.
Captioning a photo of her lovingly cradling ‘The Marble Collector’, she wrote: “Weighing 2.7lbs. Both author and novel are doing well.”
Cecelia, daughter of former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, has written a further eleven novels since her debut novel, selling over 24 million copies worldwide in just over a decade.
Her new book, her twelfth, tells the story of Sabrina Boggs, who stumbles upon a collection of marbles amongst her father’s possessions, and discovers a truth where she never knew there was a lie. It will be published on October 29 and we can’t WAIT!
As well as treating her novels like they’re her children, Cecelia keeps busy with her own kids, two year-old Sonny and four-year-old Robin, with husband David Keoghan.
She previously opened up about her modern household, explaining that she and her husband “don’t like rules”.
“I have a husband who’s totally cool and modern. Neither of us are traditional or like rules. We don’t try to change each other,” she revealed.
