Get your double denim at the ready folks, as B*Witched are back and we couldn’t be happier about it!
Yes, the iconic Irish girl group returned to the music scene earlier this month after they released a major comeback single, Birthday.
Marking their first new music in more than a decade, Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll are now reflecting back on their musical journey and very swift rise to stardom.
Although they had their fun, the four girls admitted that it wasn’t always easy with burn-out never far away.

“There was one day when we were doing Top of The Pops and we were all sick, absolutely wrecked,” Sinéad told RTÉ Entertainment. “But at the beginning of our career, we were full of energy and so excited and enthusiastic. C’est Le Vie went to No 1. it was a success story and what we wanted . . . ”
“It was so busy, it was crazy,” Edele chimed in. “We used to work 16, 17-hour days easily, every day.”
“When C’est Le Vie went to No 1, all the other territories wanted us as well,” said Lindsay. “That’s when all the travelling to Europe, to Australia and the states started and that’s when it got intensely busy.”
According to Lindsey, missing home and family was the “worst part” of it all. “To connect with your family would have been quite important but we didn’t really get the time back then,” she added.
Despite the ups and downs, the girls can believe it’s been 25 years since their hit song, C’est Le Vie.
“It’s really weird – 25 years! People tell us that it makes them feel so old and I say, `Yup, how do you think that makes us feel?’” shared Edele.
Adding: “I don’t think it’s as far away as it was because C’est Le Vie is still hanging around. It’s still on the dancefloors, it’s still on the radio.”
Here’s to another 25 years gals!
