Last night, former RTE news presenter Bryan Dobson had his say on the gender pay gap in the company.
The 58-year-old appeared on The Late Late Show last night, where he was asked about the issue that had been brought up by his former co-presenter Sharon Ní Bheoláin.
“It’s rather unsettling when you’re reporting the news to become the news, but it’s perfectly legitimate,” Bryan told Ryan Tubridy.
“I found it difficult to see the justification for the difference.
“I absolutely believe in the principle that you pay equally for equal work or work of equal value.”
It was revealed last year that Sharon was being paid up to €80,000 less than Bryan for presenting the RTE Six One news.
