Brian Dowling says husband, Arthur was ‘HORRIFIED’ helping him with turning the turf

Brian Dowling and his husband, Arthur have finally been reunited after months apart. You think they’d be delighted to relax together at last, but hilariously Brian has Arthur helping him turn the turf.

To be fair, Brian also said it was his first time in 25 years having to do it and reminisced on the activity from when he was a child. “We did this every summer as kids & as my mum would say ‘it never done us any harm.’ Mum would go all out & make packed lunches, flasks of tea, crisps, biscuits, fizzy drinks the lot. It was like a little holiday.”

Despite Arthur being very fit, as he is a choreographer, the manual labour wasn’t quite for him. It seems he didn’t find the activity as nostalgic as Brian shared he was ‘HORRIFIED’ at having to do it but as Brian shared if he was doing it, Arthur was too!

Although Arthur may not have taken to it naturally, it seems it all came back to Brian pretty quickly; “I’m not sure he actually understands it any better even after spending a few hours there today. I’m happy to confirm it all came flooding back to me and I was a PRO.”

The couple are only recently reunited after Arthur’s two week isolation period. As he flew in from LA earlier this month he had to isolate himself for two weeks due to government regulations with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Arthur had spent four weeks staying with Donal Skehan and his family, two weeks in LA and two weeks isolating here in Ireland.

The couple were finally reunited last week with Brian saying that when Arthur arrived he “was at the clothes line in my pj’s.”

We’re so delighted to see them back together at last.
