Brian Dowling has paid a touching tribute to his mum, seven years following her passing.
The presenter’s mum, Rosie, died at the age of 61 from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome back in February 2018, while Brian was working in LA.
Taking to Instagram, Brian wrote: “I sat at my desk this morning, a very different person from the one I was exactly 7 years ago today.
“On this day in 2018, our beautiful mum passed away in her sleep. My mum wasn’t sick; there was no accident,” he explained.
“Our mum passed of SADs, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. This is something 7 years later that my family and I are still coming to terms with.
“Sometimes, I feel like I’ve just spoken to you and on other occasions, I feel like I can’t even remember the sound of your voice.”
Brian then opened up about the process of grief, adding: “There are no rules, there is no time allocated for you to be ‘over it’ and we all grieve very differently.”
He then reflected on the significant changes in his life since her passing, including his career, becoming a father for the first time, and relocating to a new country.

Continuing on he said: “Seven years ago, our hearts were broken forever.
“Time changes everything. The one thing time will never change is my utter love and devotion to you, Mum.
“I just want to hug you and sit down, have a cup of tea and talk to you all about Blake & Blu.
“You will live FOREVER in our HEARTS! Miss you, Mum.”
