It was an emotional day for Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian.
The proud parents saw their eldest daughter, Blake, officially head off to pre-school.
Little Blake was dressed in a sweet denim dress and her Peppa Pig school bag as she headed off for her first day.
“August 28th, 2025, is a day we will remember forever,” Brian wrote alongside pictures of the family before Blake headed off.

“Blake Maria Rose has officially started Play School. She could not wait to go in, and all she could talk about this morning was teacher Orla.
“There were tears this morning, and they were from Tati and I. Blake was a little superstar. Peppa Pig bag on her back, and away she went. Bring on the next 16 years or so for @gourounlian and I. I think Blu realised this morning that she’s next in 2 years!!”
Arthur wrote: “MY HEART. The best girl, she was loving it and couldn’t get out of the house quick enough to see Teacher Orla. Blake Maria Rose, you rock.”
Before the summer, Blake got a little taster of pre-school as she spent a few days in the school to prepare for September.
“Like so many little ones, Blake will officially begin preschool this September. Today was the start of that journey,” he wrote, as she shared a video of them dropping Blake off at what will soon be her new school.
“We brought her to her new surroundings and will ease her in gently over the coming weeks,” he explained.

“It is one of those milestones that makes you proud, teary, and excited all at once,” Arthur noted.
In the video, Brian is visibly emotional as Arthur gently asks, “Was that emotional for you?” to which Brian naturally replies, “Yes!”.
Thankfully, the day turned out to be a big success for little Blake. So we’re sure her first official day will be an even bigger success!
