Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian were overcome with emotion when they heard their unborn child’s heartbeat.
As they prepare to become parents, their surrogate, Brian’s sister Aoife will be heading for scans every fortnight.
“Every two weeks. Can’t believe it, not long now,” Arthur wrote on Instagram.
“Let’s see if the baby smiles today. Baby has been smiling the past three scans.”
He then shared a video of their baby’s heartbeat, writing, “I’m not crying you are.”
It looks like they are filming for their upcoming documentary about becoming parents as camerapeople and crew can be seen in the back of some of the shots.
Including a snap of the ultrasound as a clearly escatic Arthur gushed, “Well I can confirm that the baby has made everyone smile today.”
“And yes BDG has found the camera once again and we were told today our baby was the only one that wasn’t camera shy.”
Brian then shared a video of the ultrasound where he pointed out the baby’s “chubby cheeks”, eye and their hand as well.
He joked that their doctor told them, “Our baby loves the camera!”
Clearly, they take after their fathers!
They are set to welcome their child later this summer and are now “counting down the weeks” until their tot is born.
