Brendan O’Connor made a welcomed return to tv last night, as he debuted his brand new RTE show, Cutting Edge.
The presenter, whose Saturday Night show was cancelled last summer, certainly came back with a bang, as people can’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed the brand new show.
Cutting Edge is a news-driven panel show that will feature three guests each week and will discuss the week’s news from Ireland and around the world. Colourful pieces that may have escaped the publics attention will also be included, and will be discussed in Brendan’s darkly comedic way.
Last night’s show had a varied line-up, featuring businesswoman Norah Casey, comedian Pat Shortt and Newstalk’s Chis O’Donoghue.
They covered topics of internet bullying, Donald Trump and Eurovision and the conversations were both funny and moving.
Fans took to Twitter saying that they loved the show and felt that Brendan O’Connor had found his niche.
It sounds like this is going to be a success! You can catch Cutting Edge next Wednesday at 9:30pm on RTE One.
