Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot Brendan Gleeson in his latest role.
The Irish actor will appear alongside Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix in the Joker sequel.
The first trailer for the highly anticipated flick dropped this week.
And Brendan Gleeson makes an appearance in the teaser.
If you’ve watched the trailer for Joker: Folie a Deux then you’ve heard a voice calling: “Wakey, Wakey!”
That voice? Well, it’s only Brendan Gleeson.
This implies that he will be playing a guard in Arkham Asylum, the prison where both the Joker and Harley Quinn are being housed at the start of the film.
Brendan is also seen behind the Joker as he’s being walked down a corridor of the asylum in the trailer.
While we don’t know too much about Brendan’s role in the flick, he has briefly spoken about appearing in the film.
Back in 2022, he gushed to Collider: “It wasn’t the material which is a great way of getting me out of having to answer any questions about the material, which I can’t. It was the achievement of the first film.
“I worked with Joaquin before on ‘The Village,’ so I knew him from then.”
He also enthused about Lady Gaga to Extra, saying: “I think Lady Gaga is sensational.”
And clearly, they get along as they shared an awkward kiss on the Oscars red carpet in 2023.
