Room to Improve viewers were left emotional after watching the second episode on Sunday night.
Kate Molony and Brian Carrigg bought their dream home over two years ago.
The gorgeous bungalow was completely rebuilt to give them a gorgeous view of the countryside which includes the stunning Rock of Cashel.
Nothing to be sniffed at!
It definitely wasn’t an easy feat as the 1970s bungalow cost €303,000 and it required huge renovations. Enter Dermot Bannon who was here to save the day.
However, it wasn’t just the home renovation that had viewers loving this specific episode of the show.
Kate and Brian explained that they experienced a pregnancy loss during the renovation process.
They lost their baby girl at 21 weeks.
“It was that spirit, and that energy that got this place finished.”
It was a tough journey for Brian and Kate, but in the end they made their dream home! 🥂#RoomToImprove pic.twitter.com/d5l954LVNe

“We’re devastated. Kate’s doing okay, she’s doing as well as expected,” Brian said in an emotional moment.
Viewers shared their support for the couple who they branded as “wonderfully brave” for speaking about the pregnancy loss.
Well done to the show & more importantly to this couple for including their baby in the episode. What they've gone through is incredibly tough. They could have easily cut it out, but they kept it in. It happens so often and it shouldn't be a tabboo subject 💕#roomtoimprove

Such an emotional programme – 21 weeks is such a tough tough loss, the bravery was not the floor but continuing on with the filming with grace and dignity. Wishing a fantastic couple all the best in their gorgeous house #RoomToImprove

Kate is a native of Tipperary Town while her husband Brian is from Ballyea, Co Clare. The pair met on holidays in Marbella seven years ago and married during the pandemic.
Kate always dreamed about owning that bungalow and was able to make that dream a reality!
“Mum passed away during COVID and any time we passed she’d say, ‘That house has the best view in Cashel’,” Kate explained.
Room to Improve continues on RTÉ One on Sunday at 9:30pm
