The Dublin International Film Festival hosted the world premiere of Guggi this week, with some of the biggest names in Irish art stepping out for the night.
Directed by Irish filmmaker and photographer Ian Thuillier, the documentary offers an intimate and deeply personal portrait of Derek “Guggi” Rowen, one of Ireland’s most enigmatic contemporary artists.
Those in attendance included Jim Sheridan, Bono, Gavin Friday, and Mannix Flynn on the night.
The world premiere formed a powerful highlight of this year’s Dublin International Film Festival.
