Blathnaid Treacy has revealed her plans for the festive season.
The TV star spoke exclusively to VIP about her traditions with family and friends.
“Christmas for me is all about family… how corny” she joked.
The presenter explained that she will be working until lunchtime on Christmas eve and then the family festivities really kick off.
“I’m going to be working up until Christmas eve, I’ll be on the radio until 1 pm and then I’ll be heading straight to Bray to pick up my two nieces, were going to bake cookies for Santa, It’s kind of our Christmas tradition.”
Blathnaid explained that she has a big family and makes sure to spend time with them all.
“I’m the youngest of six and I’ve got ten nieces and nephews so there’s a lot of us so we’re going to head up to my brother’s house – the oldest- and we’re going to give all our neices and nephews their presents.
“We’ll have mulled wine and the chats in Christmas jumpers and everyone will be together to have the LOLs.”
The 29-year-old said she’ll be waking up on Christmas morning with her longterm boyfriend Charlie Mooney.
“I’ll head to Kilcool in Wicklow where my boyfriend is from and we’ll go to his local, we do that every year, all of our mates and stuff will be there.
“We’ll have an early-ish night into the PJs to watch Christmas movies, fire on.”
She added: “Christmas morning we’ll wake up in Charlie’s mum’s house and we’ll make breakfast for everyone. His whole family will be there and it’ll be lovely.
“We’ll do our Christmas presents and then in the afternoon I’ll head out to my mum’s house and pretend to help her but mainly just be drinking wine!
“We’ll have Christmas dinner with like twenty of us and the evening turns into a bit of a session because our brothers are musicians. My cousins will come up, the guitars come out, the cans come out and it just turns it into a big session.”
Sounds like a pretty cute Christmas to us!
