Last year, we saw twenty celebrities battle it out in one of the toughest challenges of their lives for Ultimate Hell Week – The Professionals.
Bláthnaid Treacy was one such celebrity who took part in the gruelling TV show, in the hopes of raising funds for Women’s Aid.
Yesterday, marked one year to the day since Bláthnaid and her fellow recruits took part in the show.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on her journey, Bláthnaid wrote: “This exact day last year this eclectic gang took on one of the biggest challenges you could ever imagine.

“We certainly had no idea what was to come, physically and mentally.
“It was one of the most beneficial experiences of my life, it forced me to take a proper look at my mental health, making it my number one priority and I learned that I’m stronger than I ever thought.
“Two very important lessons that I’ll be taking with me going into motherhood, a whole new challenge and adventure.
“What a difference a year makes!”
Bláthnaid previously explained that she gave herself the challenge to remember her late sister-in-law, Claire, who passed away in 2020.
“Sadly, a couple of years ago my sister-in-law passed away and watching my husband and his whole family go through that grieving process, I was just so inspired by them,” she revealed to Tommy Bowe and Muireann O’Connell at the time on Ireland AM.
“I was so in awe that they were able to keep going because when something like that happens, how do you keep going?”
There’s no doubt Bláthnaid has certainly made herself, Claire and all her family members proud this past year.
