Baz Ashmawy has plenty to celebrate as his mum Nancy turned 80-years-old.
The TV presenter and his mum are incredibly close, even starring in their own show together, 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy.
Celebrating in style, Baz shared some snaps from his mother’s birthday party, along with a sweet tribute to Nancy.
Writing: “I’ve never taken for granted how lucky I am to have such a wonderful mum. She’s the greatest mentor I have.”
“She thought me everything of any worth that I know. The importance of loyalty and friendship. That life is ups and downs and we learn to navigate it with dignity and kindness. Never get too high because you’ll always come down and when you feel low always know you’ll always look up again.”
Continuing: “She always says to enjoy life but to have balance. To treat people with respect, whether they’re pope or pauper. Its a gift to never look up to any one too much and to never look down on anyone no matter what youre presumtions are. She’s lives her life like this.”
“Lessons I’ve far from mastered so I’m still her student. She has and is at peace like no one I know. So content in who she is. Before she ever appeared on a TV show she was surrounded with friends and people who adored her because she is the most beautiful soul. A good friend too many. Youre everything a boy and man could ask for in a mother.”
“I’m blessed to have you. You’re my best friend. I’ve lived a lifetime with you and like the feel of rain on my face or the grass beneath my feet you’re the only world I’ve ever known and I’m so greatful for that.”
