Baz Ashmawy is well known for pushing his mum Nacy to her limits on their hit show 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy, but it appears he also put her through a lot off screen when he was younger.
The Irish star has admitted that he was a troublesome child and put his mother through the mill but despite his undesirable behaviour she never gave him a bad piece of advice.
“My mam has put up with a lot of s**t from me- the whole works. The drink, the drugs, the messing,” Baz told The Sunday World magazine.
“I was moved around a few schools when I was younger, which lead to a few awkward chats between Nancy and me.She was always brilliant though and never gave me bad advice.”
Nancy and Baz’s dad, Ussri split when he was just seven and he didn’t have much contact with his dad after that, but Baz admits that he’d rather have no contact with his dad than have a bad dad.
“I used to think that having no dad around was the worst thing ever, but do you know what? There are a lot of bad dads out there. I know people who have s**t dads. I’d rather have grown up with no dad than have a s**t dad,” he said.
