Baz Ashmawy has revealed that there is one Middle Eastern country that can’t get enough of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy.
The Sky 1 show has achieved huge success in the U.K. and Ireland but Baz has said that the show also has a big audience in Iran.
“The show is actually huge in Iran, which I still can’t believe.” he told The Irish Mirror. “It’s mad when you go on Twitter and see tweets from all these places.
“I suppose it must be translated really well and they get the humour. I think it’s quite universal.”
The dynamic duo are returning to our screens tonight as the show makes it’s highly anticipated return to Sky 1 and four new mammies are set to join them on their big adventure.
Although he was delighted to have them on board, Baz admitted that his patience was put to the test by the new additions to the show.
“I think all the ladies had this coming – they deserved a but of adventure,” he said. “When we’re all in the van together they drive me mad though. It’s like the film Inception, where five minutes is like an hour. If you do a five hour drive through Uganda you’ve lost a lifetime.”
Tune into the season debut of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy tonight on at 9pm.
