We’ve been waiting with bated breath to find out more about the Peaky Blinders film.
Well, the countdown for the movie’s release date is well and truly on.
Now we know what role Barry Keoghan will be playing in the Netflix production.
In a new trailer, we see Cillian Murphy’s Tommy Shelby return to Birmingham, which is very different to the one he left at the end of the season six finale.
No longer the leader of the Peaky Blinders, he has been replaced by Barry Keoghan’s character, who has been revealed as Tommy’s illegitimate son.
Oh, the drama!
Speaking about reprising the role, Cillian told Netflix: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me. It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”

The synopsis for the film reads: “Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.
“With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…”
The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, A House of Dynamite), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight), Sophie Rundle (After the Flood, Gentleman Jack) and Stephen Graham (Adolescence, A Thousand Blows).
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premieres 6 March in select cinemas and 20 March 2026 on Netflix.
