Barry Keoghan’s next flick to premiere at iconic film festival

Barry Keoghan has made quite an impression on the acting world over the last few years.

Following Saltburn he has really cemented himself as a leading man.

His next film, Bring Them Down, is set to premiere during the iconic Toronto International Film Festival in September.

The thriller is set in Ireland and sees Barry play a farmer from the West of the country.

The film will screen in the Special Presentation section of the Toronto International Film Festival however, its premiere date has not yet been revealed.

The synopsis of the film reads: “Bring Them Down is a suspenseful thriller that observes the escalating tensions of two farming families in the west of Ireland, whose actions have increasingly devastating consequences.”

They go on to say: “Michael, the last son of a shepherding family, lives with his ailing father, Ray.

“Burdened by guilt over the death of his mother, Michael has isolated himself from the world. When a conflict with rival farmer Gary and his son Jack escalates, Michael is drawn into a devastating chain of events, forcing him to confront the horrors of his past and leaving both families permanently altered.”

The film stars Christopher Abbott, Barry Keoghan, Colm Meaney, Nora-Jane Noone, Paul Ready and Susan Lynch.

An Irish release date for Bring Them Down is yet to be announced.
