Glenda Gilson and her hubby Rob McNaughton celebrated their one year wedding anniversary this weekend, but the couple don’t have any plans to start a family just yet.
The pair got married in Co Clare last year, in a lavishly, star-studded event and have been sharing sweet messages about their wonderful year together on social media this weekend.
Speaking to Evoke.ie, Glenda said, “I honestly cannot believe it’s a year already – time has flown by! Time flies when you’re having fun I suppose.”
Despite being so very clearly loved up, the couple are still determined to wait another while before having any children.
“I was asked the baby question the day after the wedding, and I kept saying, ‘Let me have my year,’ and obviously the year is up now so I don’t know what I’m going to say,” she said.
Glenda continued, “ Everyone who knows me know I love kids, I always have – and a friend of mine says to me that whenever there are babies or animals around, I can always be found near them.”
“Rob and I would absolutely adore children. He is 40 this year and it’s a big year for him, so we’ll get through this year,” she said.
Once they’re happy, that’s all that matters.
