Arthur Gourounlian and Brian Dowling will be welcoming their first child in just a few months but the pair have big plans before their little one’s arrival.
Arthur revealed he and Brian have a babymoon, a holiday for expecting parents before the baby is born, planned and will be jetting off to Portugal.
“We actually can’t wait to do our last holiday of the year. Well, maybe not all the year but the last holiday together, before the baby arrives. So we’re gonna go to Portugal for a couple of nights. And I can’t wait to bronze, get some sunshine, then back and then get ready for the big arrival.”
“So that’s exactly what we’re going to be doing.”
The pair have been getting plenty of travelling in before they become parents for the first time. With Arthur recently travelling to Paris and Brian currently visiting New York with some friends.
But all their travelling without each other, seems to have worried some fans, with Arthur setting the record straight, explaining while they do holiday together, they are both very independent and don’t mind travelling with out one another.
As he explained; “So a few of you asking, ‘do Brian and I go on holidays together?’ Oh my god! We do, we do, but we also love going on holidays with our friends.”
“We are so independent. We don’t have to do things all the time together. So I love going, you know on vacation on my own, with friends, or Brian will go out with his friends or sometimes I do love going on vacation on my own.”
But Arthur’s love of solo travelling might not be quiet as easy, with their growing family.
He confessed; “I mean, I haven’t done that for a long time. But I still love just buy a ticket and go somewhere on my own and then meeting up with people and just make new friends. I used to love doing that, but I haven’t done that for a long, long time.”
“Could you imagine, we are getting ready to welcome the baby, and then I’ll be like, ‘Brian, I just book a ticket to go to Amsterdam. So goodbye. See you next week.'”
“I think you’ll be war in the Dowling-Gourounlian household.”
They pair confirmed they were expecting their first child in May, with Brian’s sister Aoife carrying their baby.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Brian shared a video montage of their journey to parenthood so far along with an emotional caption:
“It COMPLETELY FILLS OUR HEARTS @gourounlian to be able to reveal we are PREGNANT & due to our BEAUTIFUL bundle of joy later this year”
Continuing on, Brain said: “We actually never thought this day would be a reality for us. We fully realize & understand how lucky & blessed we are for this to be happening”
“For a lot of us out there & especially people from our community we have to fight harder & push harder for what others consider to be something that can be achieved easily”
