Aoife Walsh is preparing to walk down the aisle after her partner, Ben, popped the question last year.

Ben surprised her on a romantic trip away by getting down on bended knee in Lisbon.

Now she has shared an update on her wedding plans.

Sharing a video on TikTok, she gave her followers an insight into how she is getting on preparing for her big day.

And it looks like she has ticked off one of the major parts of her wedding.

She revealed: “The major update on the wedding is that we’ve booked it. We’ve booked a venue, we’ve booked a date, and it is in eight months’ time. Literally, I am getting married, I am going to be a 2026 summer bride, and I can’t wait.”

How exciting!

“I’ve always really wanted to get married in the summer, it just suits me better with work and everything, and I don’t know, I just didn’t fancy waiting two years, and neither did Ben by the way, so we just said, β€˜You know what? Let’s go for it.’,” she revealed.

“Not only that, but we are actually having a destination wedding, which is even more exciting.”

She went on to reveal that she would be having a destination wedding.

β€œWe looked around in loads of different venues, literally all over Europe, and to be fair, we actually looked in Ireland as well. But if we want to get married in 2026, it was really tricky to get a date, so we kind of broadened our horizons to Europe as well. So, we looked in France, Spain, Portugal, Majorca, all of those gorgeous destinations,” she explained.

β€œWe actually didn’t even look at Italy because I kind of have this feeling that Italy is really stressful! We ended up picking the first venue that we had looked at, which was our dream venue. We had looked at other places as well because we were like, β€˜No, we can’t go for the first one,’ but then we ended up going back to it.”

She then shared that they would be getting married in stunning France!

“The venue we chose is actually in the south of France and it is a dream come true. I have been to the south of France a couple of times and absolutely love it, so I’m actually so excited.”

She admitted that she has plenty left to do!

“I only have the big things booked like catering, venue, photographer, videographer, but other than that, I need to do everything,” she revealed.

We can’t wait to see all the gorgeous wedding details!
