Aoibhin Garrihy’s career is soaring these days, but the Fair City star has landed a bit of an, um, bum deal for her new role.
The actress will be playing Gwendoline Fairfax in The Importance of Being Earnest in the Gate Theatre and she was given a surprise at dress rehearsals when she was told she needs to wear a bum pad.
As it’s a period drama, the costume addition will emphasis the extravagant dress, and Aoibhinn took to social media to share a picture of the look.
She said, “Does my bum look big in this?! #CostumeFitting #BumPad.”
The soon-to-be bride also revealed that there’s more additions to her wardrobe.
“I’m back into the corsets,” she said to The Herald.
Aoibhin is going straight from her current role in Bad Dad to The Importance of Being Earnest, but will be able to take a much deserved break when she marries her long term parnter John Burke in Co. Clare this September.
