Aoibhin Garrihy and John Burke are expecting their first child and say that they are looking forward to the adventure.
The couple wed in 2017 and announced their baby news at Christmas time.
The actress admitted that she isn’t sure what being a first-time-mum will be like.
“We don’t know what to expect, it’s another adventure, a different kind of adventure than John’s used to anyway,” she laughed.
Aoibhin also spoke about travelling between Clare and Dublin for work.
“I’m settled. I still kind of do half the week in Dublin, just for work. I’m up and down. I’m used to it and I don’t mind the drive now,” she said.
“As soon as I’m on the Naas road, I just feel all of a sudden a sense of calm and just the difference between city life and country life.”
She also revealed that before the pregnancy, her only babies were two French Mastiffs, who will have to get use to the new arrival.
“We’ve two big massive dogs and we get out on the beach,” she said on the Today show.
“I don’t know what will happen to the two of them when this baby lands, they’re supposed to be great with children, they’re gentle giants!”
The couple also revealed that they expecting the new arrival in June.
