Do you want to update your living room without any major renovations? Anna Geary has proved that with just a few small adjustments and slight changes, you can completely revamp your space, adding a new lease of life to the place.
Anna decided to update her sitting room and brighten the space up for summer – and you can too, without breaking the bank.
Swapping out dark green shades which she had on the cushions and rug, Anna opted for some navy and lighter blue shades to add some brightness and a pop of colour to the room.
“I love forest green for a warm, cosy look during winter months but I’m changing to navy and blue for the next while. It gives a fresh look to the room, in an inexpensive way,” she said.
While there’s already a huge amount of natural light shinning in from the living room window, she decided to add some more, by breaking up the solid wooden door.
“We got a glass panelled door too to allow light into that corner. It made a big difference,” she said.
Anna and her husband Kevin moved into their dream home in 2019, just before tying the knot.
Surrounded by 140 of their closest friends and family, the happy couple tied the knot during a romantic ceremony in Killeagh Church.
Following the ceremony, everyone retired to the Castlemartyr Hotel for a lavish reception. The group partied the night away, to music by The Seducers.
“I was really nervous about people having a good time, and of them, people who I thought would never dance, wouldn’t leave the dancefloor,” she laughed.
