Anna Geary welcomed her first child this summer and she is settling into motherhood well.
She joked at that she was trying to convince baby Ronan that she was a “cool mom” as she showed him GAA.
We mean, it’s a very important part of Anna’s life.
“Convincing Ronan that I’m a ‘cool mom’, on the day we brought him home. All Ireland winning captain wasn’t too shabby, eh Ro!” she joked.

However, she also opened up about the difficulties about being a mother and making sure that you take time for yourself.
“Parenthood has already been an incredible whirlwind, and we’ve only just begun! But it doesn’t mean we have to lose who we are, or once were. But this happens… ALOT!” she went on to say.
Of course, she added: “This adorable little guy has become the centre of our world, and honestly I can’t imagine life without him. *Side note, what did we do with all the free time before?”
However, she made sure that she didn’t want to “lose” herself “in the chaos”.
“I’m realising it’s easy to lose who we are in the chaos! The basics can become luxuries. And from chatting with so many Mums on here, feeling guilt can be common when doing stuff for ourselves.
“Being a Mum is a privilege, that’s not lost on me, but it doesn’t mean forgetting the things that make me feel better, to help me be the best person -and best Mum- I can be. In fact, if anything, now I should be embracing who I am and want to be with even more determination and making time for it! Because I want this little fella to do the same.”
She then went on to ask her followers how they take time for themselves and what they do to feel good as parents.
“What things make you feel good? Do you make time for yourself? Be honest! Are there any hobbies/ interests/ passions you’d love to rediscover since becoming a parent?” she asked.
We love this take on motherhood!
