VIP Magazine caught up with Anna Geary for our gorgeous October issue.
Of course, we chatted all things motherhood and baby Ronan. But Anna is an athlete at heart and her love for competition hasn’t subdued since the birth of her son.
So there was no doubt in her mind that she would be returning to Ireland’s Fittest Family.
It was announced that Olympian Sonia O’Sullivan would be the person stepping in as coach this season.
“Sonia is one of my heroes. I took it as a compliment that she stepped in. She’s also so competitive so I cannot wait to see what she’s like on screen,” she tells us.
And worry not because she will be glued to the telly every Sunday night.
“I will because normally I hate watching myself on the telly because we’re all hypercritical,” she confesses.
“It will be nice to watch and see it unfold and not have any skin in the game. Did I miss it this year? Of course, I did. I did the show for nine years and you develop a really good relationship with the entire crew.
“But don’t worry, I’m still keeping an ear to the ground and I’m licking my lips thinking, ‘Right, I have to up my game next year when back!’,” she teases.
