As the world feels as though it’s slowly returning to normal, for some people it can be a little anxiety inducing as we re-enter society! After so long spent at home with some form of lockdown or restrictions in place we have all got accustomed to the slower pace of life.
Chatting with Angela Scanlon as she prepares to launch her new chat show later this year, we spoke to her about how she copes with this. The presenter often discusses wellness on social media and shares the little things that she does each day to help her feel her best.
As well as sea swimming, salt baths and cacao to help her feel grounded, the mother-of-one shared that meditation is what helps her most in day to day life.
Revealing that she is back filming quite a lot recently Angela shared; “It’s the pace, the pace of real life that I forgot about! Like drop offs and pick ups and actually socialising which I was quite happy to opt out of.”
“I really miss the sleep that I got and the quietness, like honestly it felt rock and roll to have lunch in the middle of the day without anyone annoying you.”
Now that life isn’t as quiet as it was during lockdown the presenter shared that meditation is something she started to do regularly over the past year and is making a conscious effort to keep up as her schedule fills up once again; I’m into meditation and had kind of been dipping in and out of it for years.”
Continuing she said; “I liked the idea of doing meditation but never really stuck to it but then I started and had a routine for maybe the first time in my life, I didn’t have to be out everyday doing something different!”
“So meditation is probably the thing that I come back to an when I don’t I get a bit frazzled.”
Angela will be back on our screens very soon with her new chat show, Ask Me Anything starting this Autumn on RTE1.
