Being a Gaeilgoir is the hottest thing you can be right now.
Last year, Paul Mescal set pulses racing by speaking Irish on the BAFTA red carpet.
And now his All of Us Strangers co-star Andrew Scott has also used his cúpla focal during an interview.
Speaking about his new series, Ripley, the Dubliner was discussing the languages he can speak.
In the Netflix show, he shows off his Italian skills. When asked if he’s still keeping up his Italian, he confessed: “I’m trying, I’m trying.”
He’s then asked what other languages he can speak.
“I speak a little French, a little Irish Gaelic…”
Look we won’t get into the argument for Gaelic versus Gaeilge! Although there was plenty of that happening on social media.

“Go raibh míle maith agat, which means ‘thank you very much’ for having me today,” he said.
“Go n-éirí an bóthar leat, which means ‘May the road rise up to meet you’. Isn’t that beautiful?”
G’wan Andrew.
And if that doesn’t inspire you to start learning Irish then we don’t know what will!
