We can’t believe it’s time to say goodbye to Dancing with the Stars for another year.
We’ve had highs, we’ve had lows. We’ve had twists and turns and twirls!
Our finalists, Laura Fox, Blu Hydrangea, Jason Smyth and David Whelan battled it out on the dancefloor on St Patrick’s Day.
And it was a final that won’t be forgotten. Honestly, it was hard to tell who was the professional and who was the celebrity.
Of course, tensions were high as everyone wanted to walk away with the Glitterball. But there could only be one winner.
And the only scores that mattered this week were the viewers’ votes. Sorry judges!
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room during Jason’s show dance, everyone went crazy for Laura’s jive, David impressed the judges with his powerful performances and beautiful Blu blew the viewers and audience away with her emotional dances.
And while we think they’re all winners – seriously – there can only be one winner.
So who was it?
Jason Smyth and Karen Byrne were announced as the winners of Dancing with the Stars!
Jason was quick to thank his wife “who made huge amounts of sacrifices while I was away doing this” and Karen who “pushed me and challenged me”.
