Great news this afternoon for Katie Taylor, as she has qualified for the Rio Olympics.
She beat Victoria Torress today, and has guaranteed herself a place at the worldwide sporting event.
Speaking to VIP Magazine recently, Katie said, “All I can do is my bit, and God can do the rest.
“Everyone is born for greatness. No one is born to live an insignificant life.
That’s the mindset I grew up with, that’s what our mam has instilled in us.
“I go into every competition believing I can win, and I don’t lose too often, so when I do, it’s heartbreaking.
It’s easy when you’re winning all the time, when things are going well, but the setbacks make you who you are.
“I’ve had setbacks before, and I’ve always come back from them, so this is going to be no different.
“I’ll be giving it all I’ve got.”
Well we’re sure she’ll do great!
