RTE has announced a stellar line up for tonight’s Late Late Show, which will feature a very special performance from Shane MacGowan.
The Pogues frontman will be singing his legendary Christmas song, Fairytale of New York, as part of a special tribute that will see some famous Irish faces join Ryan Tubridy in studio.
Glen Hansard and Lisa O’Neill will be leading tributes, as well as joining Shane for a performance of A Rainy Night In Soho.
Aidan Gillen, Patrick Bergin, Moya Brennan, Philomena Begley and Pat McCabe will complete the line-up, to chat about the Tipperary man’s life and career, along with the singer’s wife Victoria May Clarke and sister Siobhan MacGowan.
Comedian Pat Shortt will also be entertaining the audience, as well as Jason Byrne, who will be chatting his new series of children’s books!
Rounding off the line up will be a group pf volunteers speaking about the impact their work with the homeless has had over the past year.
It looks set to be a great show!
