Alisha Weir got her big break in Matilda: The Musical.
Now the Irish actor will be starring in a very different film that will send shivers up your spine!
The 14-year-old will lead the monster movie, Abigail, where she will play Abigail, herself!
So what can we expect from the film?
Well, the synopsis reads: “After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.”
It is described as a “brash, blood-thirsty new vision of the vampire flick” directed by the pair behind the two most recent Scream films.
Alongside Alisha, Abigail stars Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers.
While we don’t have a release date for the film just yet, we can’t wait to take a trip to the cinema for this!
