Ali Keating is getting ready for the summer.
She’s finishing up her second year in Maynooth where she’s studying Psychology and Criminology. Of course, her horses aren’t being neglected. She promises us!
We caught up with her on the Platinum VIP Style Awards red carpet…
Ali, it’s so lovely to see you at your first Platinum VIP Style Awards!
Yeah, it’s lovely, something to make a night out of! And a quick break between exams and that.
Oh goodness, well, you definitely deserve a night out! What are you studying?
Psychology and Criminology. I am in my second year, going into my third year now in Maynooth, so it is only fifteen minutes from the house, which gives me plenty of time to see the horses and things like that. It’s been a dream, and I am delighted with what I chose to do.
Of course, you’re first love are your horses. Have you found time to balance them with college?
Yeah definitely, I do a Bachelor of Arts and I can kind of weigh it all up and get the horses done before I go off to college so yeah. We’ve a few horses ready for The Horse Show in August so full steam ahead until then with that.
Now your older siblings, Missy and Jack, are in the world of showbiz. You’ve managed to stay pretty grounded, but will you be following in their footsteps?
Yeah, I do a bit of it, I do a bit of Instagram. I go into the world a little bit but yeah, I just dip my toe in here and there, kind of keep to myself a bit more. I like to do the equestrian world of the whole influencing thing. So, I’m enjoying that, but I’m definitely not in the whole Dublin scene just yet. I’ll probably be keeping out of there, but we’ll see. It’s nice to get out and support Jack tonight. We’re delighted, we’re really proud of him. He’s really made a big bash in this whole world, so yeah, he seems to be loving it.
Now you’ll be finished college for the summer, will you go visit your dad and the lads in Australia or Dubai?
Yeah, my partner Michael is thinking about doing the winter in Dubai this year, so yeah, I might get over and back between college, and I’m thinking about Australia when I finish up college. So, we’ll see where we’re at with the time, play it by ear.
