Alan Hughes has shared a picture of his husband Karl after he suffered dislocated shoulder and fractured elbow while on holiday together.
The incident seems all too familiar as just this Summer Alan experienced a similar accident while enjoying a break in the sunshine.
Posting the image on Instagram Alan said:
“Emergency room again. Not the way we wanted to spend our second night in NY”
Continuing to explain his husband’s unfortunate accident he said:
“Poor Karl had an accident trying to avoid a child on our cycling trip around central park. Dislocated shoulder and fractured elbow.”
The Ireland AM presenter also went on to explain that the pair were visiting New York as they had bought tickets to see a show on broadway which they previously had to cancel due to Alan’s leg injury. But the pair have missed the show once again this time because of Karl’s accident.
We hope Karl has a speedy recovery!
